Today i saw an accident near ulsoor opp. Millenia tower at 12:30 am. A sumo hit a dog and went away without caring for it. I tried to call the no.s provided above and my efforts went in vain………No one will be available at night times i belive……..I think these ppl think that accidents and crime will happen only in day time………..its a pity to see a dog fighting for its life and no one so called animal lovers and rescures are available at this time….:(

    • Gangadhar says:

      Hi Aryan,

I really appreciate your effort to save that dog but our system is so negligent about such incidents and it needs some more time to groom in this direction. What we can do is, keep reminding them about this by calling them in cases of such mishaps. You did whatever you could, keep it up! And thanks a lot for your effort.

  9. Sushant katti says:

    Hi,

Please make a printable version of the important numbers. As far as the animal cruelty is concerned, none of those departments actually do anything. I believe that government should make a different dept which will monitor the acts of these depts. It could be by monitoring the calls and the response by the agent or by auditing the docs and reports regularly. Animal cruelty is NEVER TAKEN SERIOUSLY IN INDIA.

I want details of an ABC operation. Yesterday i went to CUPA regarding this . Some people said it is free of cost to street female dogs . To conform that i went . But staff is not co-operative with this. when i ask someone he said to ask an other. I don’t know who he is ,whether a superintendent has told me that it will cost Rs 1200/- and one said free to those dogs. To whom i ‘ve to belive . Even though 1200/- is too much . All animal lovers can’t be rich . All ready we are taking care of two street puppies . Now we want to do ABC to it’s mother only. Actually i has given birth to 7 puppies. 3 of them has died . In 4 we are taking care of 2 most injured puppies . And remaining are some what sustains their lives by the help of some of our kindly neighbors. so again it don’t has to give birth to any puppies. why because we all people are help less for next time . And it is painful even to us that we are helpless . Please help us in this matter. And give us sufficient details regarding to Animal Birth Control Operation . It is very kind to U. Thank you.

Its Free, please inform CUPA members that its a Street dog & you are a volunteer helping to get ABC done. If they still insist you to pay, ask them to give it in writing clearly specifying the purpose.

You can take this matter to higher ups with a copy to Media.

CUPA is meant to support Cases of cruelties inflicted on pet and stray dogs and other animals which has been the area of much concern and concerted activity by CUPA – You can escalate the matter to Suparna Ganguly- Trustee & Vice President if they dont co-operate
